Dr. Ashleigh Golden has extensive experience providing evidence-based treatments for obsessive-compulsive and anxiety related disorders in both Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) as well as individual one-on-one sessions. Dr. Golden is a recognized authority in providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP). As the Bay Area Program Manager for the Gateway Institute, Dr. Golden is committed to seeing that each client has the tools needed to overcome limitations as a result of their OCD and anxiety disorders.
Before joining The Gateway Institute, Dr. Golden served as Program Manager of the Intensive Outpatient Program at the Center for OCD & Anxiety-Related Disorders in St. Louis, and the Anxiety Treatment Center in Sacramento, where she provided supervision to graduate students and licensed clinicians. She obtained her doctorate degree from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology – Stanford Psy.D. Consortium and completed a specialty postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD & Anxiety-Related Disorders (COARD) in St. Louis under the mentorship of Dr. Alec Pollard, a nationally recognized author and expert in the field of OCD. At COARD, Dr. Golden received training that pioneered the industry in helping individuals with anxiety disorders resolving treatment ambivalence. She is a graduate of the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) for adult OCD, child OCD, and Hoarding Disorder, in addition to completing training by the Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors’ Professional Training Institute (PTI). She is a diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and continues to stay ahead of the curve regarding education and effective ways to provide expert care for our clients.
Dr. Golden chose the field of OCD because of her desire to make evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders more accessible to all, and she is honored to have the privilege of serving others in a way that gives life back.
